July Texas Camp – Trail in the Woods

This weekend was a unique and special weekend. We got to take the young men camping and were able to combine an incredible experience with tons of fun.

Friday night, after dark, our campers traveled in groups of 3 through a mile-long trail to learn about life through Christ’s eyes. They learned what all Christ has in store for us, their identity in Christ, received encouragement and were biblically equipped. This all built up to a final “call to action” given to these young men through the final scripture.

“Peter said to them, ‘Repent, and each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”  – Acts 2:38

Two of our campers made the decision to be baptized Saturday morning! It was an incredible experience to witness these young men wrestle through what their identity in Christ truly is and come to this decision!

These scriptures were prayed over, shared with, and taught to our young men on this journey.

Matthew 6:33 …righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well.

Galatians 5:1 For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not be subject again to the yoke of slavery.

Ephesians 6:11 Clothe yourselves with the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding. 6 Acknowledge him in all your ways, and he will make your paths straight.

2 Corinthians 6:18 …and I will be a father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the All-Powerful Lord.
